I went up the yard this morning (5.00am) had a fight to get the tack room door open, 10 mins later got to Alliya's breakfast i was still half a sleep as i walked over the cold frozen yard covered in ice, reached up to turn on the light and nothing, so put the light i had in my hand over the door expecting my pregnat mare fast a sleep in her bed to jump up but no Alliya. So i thought that she was in the front yard as sometimes we have the big lorries come in for corn anyway i then i clicked how quiet the whole yard was there where no horses at all 20 empty stables! Luckly they where all out safe in the field with hay as we had had a fire in the farmers barn that has his corn dryer 50 yards away from Alliya's stable and she is the ferthest away and we had 5 fire engines yesterday afternoon/eve putting it out as there was Diessel all over the place I must wake up in the mornings but i am so happy that animals and all people are ok i was going to leave her in as it was so wet but she was a plonker and hit the wheelbarrow as i was mucking out and she has never done that before and that was becouse they where trying to get the dryer working and she was not happy about the noise
