Apparently according to a top drugs government advisor horse riding is no more dangerous than taking ecstasy and more people die falling off horses than taking the drug apparently we have 'equasy' which is short for equine addiction syndrome' each to their own but I firmly disagree how can you compare horse riding to taking drugs yes accidents happen but how horses can seen to be as destructive as drugs I wonder. I found this an unfair attack on people who like horses and riding and anyone who condemns drug use as okay is not on in my book!

My horse is my very best friend. Nothing in the world can separate us. When he dies I know he'll be waiting for me at the gate... just like always.

I totally agree. Accidents happen in all sports/hobbies but to compare us to drug users is an insult and it is shocking that this sort of stuff is on national news headlines!
Whatever next?

People get 'addicted' to all sorts of sports and hobbies. How very strange to compare to horse riding. They could just have said Ectasy isn't very dangerous.

Does that mean that most of us have bad parents for taking us to see our dealers at least twice a day?! |

Yep..........finally have to admit to it, after trying to keep my addiction secret all these years.....now have to come out of the cupboard and confess...I AM AN EQUASY ADICT Cant help it, was born that way..and six and half decades on...still just as crazy!!!
Very fortunately....OH likewise addicted. Absolutely NO CURE!! Takes up all your hard earned cash, diminishes your social life...too tired to dress up and go on the town, once finished `doing` the Equasy Thing. Only relief, can be obtained by meeting up with all your likewise afflicted friends and......talking EQUAIS all night long!!

We all know it's a drug! Why else would we all be driving ourselves out on miserable dark evenings if there wasn't an incredible 'high' to look forward to, even if it's a few months away!
I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't have a nice healthy addiction like ours... |
