I gather that Cavewood are listed as only breeding one foal Satin Moth which is in fact my boy. I was trying to track the people down to see if I could discover anymore information about a stallion htey had on their yard or at stud for them in 1990 Tamerak sometimes spelt Tamarek RJ as he is my boys sire. I've tried Halsdon Arabians as it was Shirley Watts who imported Tamarek but she is away in France at a show at the moment and so is the yard manager so I'm having to wait on that line of enquiry. I'd also hoped to track down a picture etc of Prima Ballerina my boys dam. I know her pedigree but not much else and I'd like to know more. I'd like to know her strain if anyone knows so I know what my boy is, can I find out any other way? Does anyone know Tom and Gloria Hudson or if they are still in the stud business so I could ask? It is MR and MRS R sunderland who are down as breeding my boy do I assume they would have owned Prima Ballerina? But Cavewood is the stud card that came with my boy for his sire. Any help most greatfully recieved and if anyone could have a quick look at my boys pedigree on www.allbreedpedigree.com I'd be most greatful if someone could say if it was good, average etc thanks.

Regards, Sapphire

The data base wants to get subscritpion details so it would be useful if you could post more of his pedigree here.

Prima Ballerina (if its the same one) from memory if a full sister to Holly Blue, she was bay and did the veteran classes about 10 years ago. Holly Blue is renowned winner for Michael Harris and foundation of his stud in Devon, and dam of her own dynasty of show winners.

Prima Ballerina would have been bred by the Theobalds, with Argos (Polish) lines, never saw Argos in the flesh but photos he was ethereal, fleabitten grey.

Cavewood bred loads of good horses, and did really well on the show circuit, including Roulette who was youngstock champion at Haydock. maybe since daughter got married they no longer trade as such? Can't remember her name, possibly Natalie, and married someone else into Arabs, in the North so they should be able to help. (apologies to the people concerned, forgetting names)

Satin Moth 1991 by Tamarek RJ x Prima Ballerina (Argos x Sapphire Blue) Tamarek RJ 1986 by Plakat (Aswan x Pchelka) out of Barwna (Iridos x Baraka(Dushara x Biruta) courtesy of allbreedpedigree. Hope this helps. Natalie Hudson is on Disciplinary Committee but maybe Dean from Aztec Arabians can help you there. Good luck

I will try and track Cavewood Grange to see if they can shine any light on Prima or not, fingers crossed.

Prima Ballerina was of the Kehaileh Rodanieh strain and I think Natalie Hudson's married name was Fox?

I believe Natalie is divorced so she may not be Fox any more. Cavewood grange was a big stud with some lovely horses; Paul Atkinson worked there so he would be able to give you more details.
