OMG...is nothing safe in this World today Looks a bit suspicious especially as all lambs gone. Going to be very difficult to locate them, as sounds a set up job. Is there any way? ear tags? to help you track them down. Are they very young lambs, or weanlings ready for the Market.??
So sorry to hear of this and hope there is some way of finding the thieves and getting your lambs back.

Hi Sue....I wonder if they went to the local Halal place? I work in and around Birmingham and often see the little Halal shops recieving a Transit van full of sheep....it always sickens me that they can slaughter these animals the way they do. |

This lot had all got BLUE marks on their bums, so they sound as if the tup had been in with them, so all of breeding age, but, I agree its a bit difficult to identify any of them when their coats are off, but, someone will be selling cheap meat.. Well we have a millionaire that lives local, that has one of these big places not that far from you Mandy, very nice family, shame about the sheep. Most of the big slaughter houses have a section thats just does halal now, can't say I like it either. I remember when there was sheep dissapearing from Worcestershire a few years ago, the police were all scratching their heads, beacause there was only 8 or 9 sheep going at a time, the rest were left behind in the field, happened a few times, then all of a sudden the numbers increased to 30 sheep dissapearing....yes, you've guessed it, the culprit had got a bigger van. The police did catch up with this gang in the end and I think they also caught then stealing cattle.... and horses. Got lamb for tea, as well.. Sue |
