Hi, I am new here, well not new I have been reading this website for about 2 years but never posted !! So I tought I would be brave and say hi, and also as I would like some information on a horse people, may, may not know off, best to ask or you dont know! Anyway here goes, I have a wonderfull 78% arab gelding called Lorrivale Electrum he was breed by Val Trip at the Lorrivale stud near Saltash cornwall. Charlie as he is called at home is out of a mare called amira cmailla and by a stallion called Moonshine Cameo, I know when the stud closed down 8 years ago Cameo was gelded and sold as a riding horse. Cameo was sold to the south west area and is half arab half quater horse, cremello and stood 16hh so not a little boy! Cameo only ever sired 2 colt foals Charlie and Min we are in touch with Charlies only brother who is a year older and they could be twin's! I am looking for Cameo as I have been for a couple of years as I doubt his new owner knows he has any 'children', also being nosey I would love to know how Cameo turned out. Charlie stands 15.2hh and is of a good type chunky but very araby and has a good colour, he does Endurance down here in the depths of Cornwall! Any info on either Cameo or that of Amira Camilla would be greatly recieved. I would love to post a photo of charlie but dont know how to, anyone help?!

Hello and welcome to A-lines!!
What a lovely horse you have. I looked at that backside in the 3rd pic and thought - he's got QH in him! Then read your post properly (I always look at pictures first) and bingo! He's very handsome. |

Hello Charlotte, We bred Amira Camellia, she is by Zacaria, a stallion who was by Silver Scenario out of Zehreza. (We also bred Zacaria) Zacaria was chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail, he won at National Level with us. He sired a few Palominos too.
The dam of Amira Camellia was a most important mare called Amira Looli. She was a grey mare by Fadli out of Pink Champagne. Amira Looli carried some fabulous old Babson breeding.
Val Tripp bought Amira Camellia from us to start breeding Palomino's. I remember seeing the big Cremello colt in Cornwall, Cameo, I think he was sold to Darren Commins, not absolutely sure where he is now. A lovely chap.
Val I believe split from her husband and all the horses were disbanded some years ago.
I will try and hunt down some photo's of Amira Camellia as a foal, she was very pretty, chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail!! |

Hi Thanks for all the lovely reply's on my wonderfull boy. Sue- how interesting I saw alot of 'Echo' amira camilla she was a Mare I really admired we nearly had her and Charlie at one point. I also have Charlies aunty's here both breed by Val one is called Blue Tishida, she is out of Blue leya and by Tahanoub who is by Maliek El Kheil. I cant remember how close Leya and Echo are but I know Val always said they were close and they did look like twins! I also have a lovely although slightly crazy mare Caramac color out of blue leya and by Premier color she is half saddlebreed half arab Tishida and her share the same dam's. Caramac was bought as Val was selling up after spliting from her Husband. I will add some photos off both Caramac and Tishida, Tishida is 18 this year and Caramac 15 how time flys!!

Caramac is the chesnut and Tishida the grey Charlotte

I am sure this is Amira Camellia....seen here in 1992 with her mum Amira Looli.

Sorry for being a bit unsure, I bred three foals one year, all by Zacaria and they all looked so alike! |

Amira Camilla is the horse I remember and admired, we nearly had her and Charlie at one point, sadly we couldnat take her on as we had too many horses and were moving at the time, i dont know where she is now. It must be 9 years ago Cameo was sold, we had the chance to buy him too as Val was dispersing her horses, this is how we ended up with Caramac, But two big horses were to much as I was still in ponies, we kick ourselves now as if Cameo is anything like his son then he is something very, very special. Thanks all for the info and the warm welcome's, what a lovely site! Charlotte |
