I think another post said to look on AllBreedPedigree - but it it on a bit for which you have to register?
My gelding, Kharidian (shown on AllBreedPedigree) is by Prince Sadik who is 100% Crabbet - so I know my boy is 50% Crabbet from his sire.
He is out of Khiri, whose sire is Mikhan of Pulpits (Mikeno x Dragonfly) who I believe is considered by Americans to be Crabbet, but not by the British. Khiri's dam is Bint Rushna (Rustem Pasha x Dukhna). I know this means Kharidian is 1/16th (6.25%) Polish as Dukhna was by Grojec.
I'd be very grateful if someone could either tell me how to find out, or to calculate it for me!

I do not know how to count, but I can tell you the once who are not Crabbet.

Namilla is 86.72 % Crabbet and Grojec is Polish.

Hi, the Crabbet Organisation will send you for free a leaflet on how to calculate a Crabbet percentage. Just send a SAE to Caroline Sussex, Binley Arabian Stud. The leaflet includes a list of all foundation stock that do count as Crabbet. Caroline also owned Prince Sadik for the latter part of his life and has many of his stock at Binley so you might find that interesting anyway.
Kharidian's non-Crabbet lines, other than Grojec, come in via Mikeno and Bint Roxana's sire Greatheart. I'm afraid I don't have the time to do a precise calculation for you but I hope this helps you get there yourself. |

You mentioned Prince Sadik, but spoke about him as if he is no longer around. I do hope Caroline still has him. Please can you confirm he is still with her.

Thanks everyone - I have now downloaded the "Calculating Crabbet Percentages in Pedigrees" leaflet and will have a go at working it out myself......but I've just had a thought (or "cunning plan"?)....Kharidian is full brother to Kahruss Ibn Sadik with whom Hayley Budge had such ridden success....so, if anyone has worked out his Crabbet percentage then that would save me some work!
