Was trying to figure how these events fit in with the normal EGB events - I assume they're a separate thing?

They're being run by the Mid South group in the New Forest

They're a series of training rides I believe. PM Pauline - she's involved in organising them I think.

They are a series of Pleasure Rides in which you gain points ending up with a championship at the Arab Marathon.

All Mid-South Members were sent the information and entry form

The first ride is only 2 weeks away (14th Feb)

Come and join us and ride around the New Forest.

This is a new concept of a ride where you gain points at each ride and it will conclude with the championship the weekend of the Arab Marathon

The first of the "Silver Gambler" Pleasure Rides was held at Stoney Cross in the New Forest.

We had a good turn out and the weather held up.

The 2nd ride is on the 14th March again at stoney Cross.

What a lovely day it was, though Cinny has now decided she doesn't want brakes!

Unfortunately can't practice for no brakes as she's normally really sensible at home

The Mid-South held the second of the "Silver Gambler Pleasure Rides" yesterday.

The weather was great as was the course.

It is so much fun riding around the forest and good training for the Golden Horse Shoe.

50 riders including a number of Pony Club riders came to the challenge.

Roll on the next one April 4th 2009.

I would like to thank Jo and the mid-South for a great ride.
