The Winter 2008 Crabbet Journal which is what this issue is goes out to members of the Crabbet Organisation for that year - back copies can be purchased individually but it is more expensive that way.
You can join up as a member or purchase Crabbet Journals from the Crabbet Org website at www.crabbet.org.uk or, if you have any queries regarding membership etc, contact Suzanne Cruise at suzanne@cruisecontrolpa.com
Articles from the Crabbet Journal are under copyright and cannot be posted on the net without permission I'm afraid. |

What Athena says is very true. There is a lot more to this magazine than just glossy photographs. The written content in every issue is very good and gets better all the time. In terms of value for money, this publication offers better value for money than any other. It is also the only magazine that I continually refer back to for information. Keep up the good work ladies.

Just got my copy, great reading, nice to see lots of partbreds too!! Glad everyone seems to be enjoying the Indian Banner article I wrote!!!! There is a mistake as Banner is actually a 3/4 brother in blood to Silvern Dream, not 1/2 brother as stated! Told my fillies they are both famous as have their pics in a magazine (foals page!). Also nice to see another pic of Banner on his advertisement - I just love that photo!!! I hope you all think I did him justice, as it's the first article I've ever written!!! Well done Alexia & team for getting a great magazine out! |

Alexia, the suspense is killing me!! When will my copy arrive? I can't wait to read all these articles. I have never seen a copy of the magazine, but if it is full of information rather than loads of coloured ads then it is just what the doctor ordered! |

Yay! Another Brilliant magazine. Something for everyone. Great, informative articles, and fab newsy stuff. Always makes me proud to be a Crabbet owner . Highlight for me has to be seeing the unbelievably gorgeous picture of Alexia's colt with her daughter and friend again. I just love this picture. To me it says everything about Crabbets that i love (having 2 small children myself). He's a smashing colt, his new owner is very lucky. i shall be watching out for him in the future. Well done everyone for our great magazine. Ros |

I read our copy thoroughly last night and really enjoyed it. It is very informative as well as being entertaining. I just love all the knowledge and enthusiasm that the small band of people who are involved put into the journal.
Congratulations Alexia, Caroline and all the writers - and to my pal Alison who does the layout! Well done.
When's the next one and what kind of articles/information do you need for it? |

Thanks everyone for all the kind compliments and feedback. It really does give we volunteers a nice fuzzy warm feeling to know it is worth all that effort!
It is also very helpful to know which features you found particularly interesting. Claire did so well with her very first feature article (Indian Banner) so we hope she'll be able to dream up some more French coverage for us in the future too.
And I have to thank Ros for her gushing compliments about my colt! He is still mine at the moment - will be weaned finally and go during March. But I get to keep the little girl - she is as angelic as she looks most of the time! Not quite as angelic as the colt though - I think when you have a few and do it all yourself, particularly when you have young children around, you really do appreciate the importance of temperament above all else. Of course we don't think he looks too shabby either!
Thanks everyone, don't forget to send us your own success stories. |

Hmm.... well Ros, I have to say that on Friday's experience my gorgeous "Leo" may be a bit of a bimbo! Failed to follow Mum through a gate to a fresh field, then ran around yelling for her - she thinks he's quite big enough to work it out and was not about to leave her hay to come back for him!
On the other hand, caught said silly colt and he walked with me good as gold down one field and up the next without making any attempt to break free and gallop across to Mum - aaahh!
He's a big boy too so just as well he's a little angel!
There's a second photo of him on the foal pages actually - so many gorgeous babies this time. Quite a few I wouldn't mind stealing. |
