Hi Rachael,
On rides these days never seem to get time to have a chat. How is you Khazad youngster, how old is it now? Would love to see a photo.
Unfortunately I won't be going to Cannock as have team training that day, but Philip is hoping to get there. Does anyone know whether the route will be similiar to what it used to be when EGB last ran a ride there?

Hi Tricia You're quite right there never seems time to chat. I have to admit to spending far too long after the ride at Hopwas with coffee and cakes !! I'll take some new pics of Tom the Kaz baby who is becoming rather large - now a 2yo. Would love to see some pics of yours as well. I am expecting the Cannock route to be similar but I expect Sue will know more about it when she comes back on. Are you comming to Haywood Oaks? If so I hope to see you there - haven't been back since Seb fractured a splint bone 2 years ago so I'm hoping for a bit more success this time!
BTW i fell in love with your ? new horse that Georgina was riding on Saturday. Wow what an absolute stunner with an amazing action. I'm very very jealous! Rachel. |

Hi Folks, Yes, Got me entered as riding Rose, the farriers just left so we've got no excuse now, so hope to see you all there. I understand the route is finishing with the same old cannock route, but NO railway crossing, No Main road(A460)crossing and No Beaudesert old park this time, there's plenty of natural water between the first and last crewpoints. Bring your Garmen folks and I think your stuff will be on its way very soon now as I think Helen has closed the entries now. See you all there, Cordelia Noble is taking the pic's so lets hope we get some good ones < noblephotos.co.uk > . Same Bacon Butty Van and same old venue. It'll be like old times.... Sue PS, Just got the Mortimer Forest Training Ride permission come today so all go on that front too. |

Hi Rachael,
Thanks for your kind comments about our new horse. It was Oreci's first ride in the UK, we bought him from France last year. We were really pleased with him, as he is a bit sluggish at home, so had put him in a snaffle - he is certainly not a dobbin on a ride as Georgina found out. However, he is a dream ride as apart from being strong he doesn't put a foot wrong and he has good HRs as well. We hadn't actually put a HR monitor on him so were pleasantly surprised that he was 37/38.
Haven't any recent photos of our youngsters (must take some)but pleased with how they are going. Vlacq Diamond Sparkle is starting his endurance career this season with Georgina and Polaris (Vlacq Khazad x Rohey Evagline) is being ridden and lives for work. However he is not doing a lot as he is only 4yrs. He has grown well as must be 15hh and Evaie was only 13.2hh!
We are going to Haywood Oaks so hopefully we can catch up then. Your Seb was so well behaved when we passed you at Hopwas. What are you planning on doing with him this year?
