Here is another picture of the UK bred "Zaon" straight spanish stallion now 29 years old and living in the states. I didnt get a chance to use this picture in the article so here it is now also if anyone knows his breeder, Annette Hedley or lives near her, can you print it off for her ? I know she would love to see it.
I love this boy Lynda Its wonderful to think that such a nice stallion with those old Spanish bloodlines was bred in the UK. His straight Spanish offspring are lovely, I really like MKH Chyzaon...and he has bred on well too, have seen photos of a gorgeous filly by him!
Lynda, do you have any pictures of Breitanna by Zaon? Ive seen a Sasaki filly out of this mare, who I would love to go out and see, but havent managed to track down any pictures of the mare yet. My emails to the owners keep bouncing!
Have to say i don't normally like black arabians but a good horse can come in any colour and this one certainly looks lovely. Also like his son MKH Chyzaon and the filly by him.
What you may find interesting Angie is, "Zaon" was the first black Straight Spanish arabian to be born in the UK and possibly the first black S.S in the states until his own offspring arrived , we have no evidence yet of any other PS thanks Elaine
