I know this is a big ask but I'm looking for information on my geldings full sister. I don't have a name so pretty much needle in Kansas rather than a hay stack. She is out of Suraya by Elitist, she's chestnut with white, very similar markings to my boy from the one photograph I saw, very briefly when I bought my boy. Bred in Wales by a Mr. Jenkins, I think. She was on the racing circuit so perhaps a race enthusiast would know her. I'm guessing she might be around ten or twelve, either born before or after my boy as they raced at about the same time. I have no idea as to whether she is still racing, is now a brood mare or a riding horse but would love to know any information about her.
This is my boys pedigree and hers would be the same so if anybody has got a chestnut ex racing mare and they've researched her bloodline it might ring a bell.

Without a name it's difficult to find her but any info would be great, so if anybody has any clues it would be appreciated, thanks,
PL.

I have checked the AHS stud books and your boy is the only registered progeny for the stallion Elitist out of that mare. However, on Arabian data source he is listed as having sired a filly by the name of Madeliena out of the mare Silver Blue Shadow. There is actually no other registered progeny for the mare Suraya or elitist that I can trace. Perhaps if you phoned the AHS they would help and let you know her name and they could even pass a letter onto her current owners on your behalf. Good luck in your search. Sally. |

Thank you for delving into the books. There is some confusion over just who exactly owned and bred my lad, not the people on his passport, so I'm guessing that the owner/breeder wasn't registered and I can't find out that much information about his family apart from the fact that both Elitist and Suraya are deceased.
With a possible name for the sister, half or full, I can now hunt through the racing information I have and phoning the AHS is a great idea too, can't think why I didn't think of that myself........Duh !
I asked the question in the possible hope that somebody on here might own her now, stranger things have been know to happen..........
Thanks again for your help, much appreciated.

Sally, you beat me to it, I had a look in the stud books to, a Elitist was only just down the road from us.
I do know Madaleina though she's about 3 miles from here and is a really lovely mare, if you like PL I can ask her owner Christine to get in touch with you, she doesn't have enmail so it would have to by other means
