Some times it is just fate, rather than judgement. I ended up buying the first I saw - I had passed this place loads that had beautiful black horses that I covetted, and it turned out that is where she was, and that she was an arab to boot. She was little handled and not perfectly correct but it just seemed right.
Actually it was quite interesting as I had the chiro out to her today as part of her learning experience, and after doing some stuff in the pelvic area she is now standing square for the first time and is significantly less cow hocked than she was. I bought her in full knowledge that she wasn't perfect (had the mini vetting as she was only 18 months) - although she was advertised as being so - on the basis that she should be able to do everything I want and I will just have to not over-push when she is older.
Not every horse can be perfect and some horses that perform fantastically are not perfect either.
