Even the article blamed the high cost of euthanasia for many horses being shot by impoverished owners. The same was forecast over here, around the time of the passport debates, that people won't get passports to leave them free to dispose of horses illegally, due to the costs are regulations now imposed. We are not even supposed to bury them on our own land.
Maybe there should be a British campaign making the government bodies offer free euthanasia and disposal where owner hardship is claimed. |

That is just horrendous, what that poor boy has suffered. There is never any excuse for that sort of thing.

I think the RSPCA do offer supposrt in this country to those who cannot manage vet bills for their animals could well do so for PTS too |

Sadly you are misinformed. The PDSA do offer support for small animals for people on benefits---and they have to be able to prove that, so maybe that is what you are thinking about, but not horses.

OMG what a horrid story, that got he has survived it. I hope it wasnt someone trying to pts trooper that didnt have a clue what they were doing... Hope he has a secure future x Who ever did this needs a dose of there own medican a BULLET |
