that I don't show this mare. Look what the beastly brat of a foal has done to her tail!

Thankfully it was just a snippet... she took it out on her hair worse.... decided she wanted a fringe... it was awful - the playschool photographer was coming the next day... i sorted it out as mush as i could but it still looked awful - photo sits proudly on the mantle piece!!!
I'd love to shave my OH hair one night - he's going bald but is in denial - wouldn''t be so bad if he was dark but he is very very blond and his scalp is ver red!!!
You'll have to try and catch the little monkey on camera... I haven't seen any foalie photos on here for ages!! |

Ah Kirsty, I have the answer to your OH dilemma, if you cut his hair for him that is!
Forget to put the guard on the trimmers. My OH generally has a Number 2, except that I forgot the guard and merrily clipped a strip up over his head before I realised. He has that sort of 'island' of hair at the front that is best clipped off. I always quite envy men with 'velvet' heads, talk about wash and go! One swipe with a towel and they are dry. Takes me 30 minutes with a hairdryer.
The first winter I was here I foolishly went outside (only -15) with wet hair, it froze solid and I could snap strands off like dry twigs. My daughter froze her tongue to a gate too, just to see if "wet things REALLY do stick to metal" Yes, they do!
This mane was frozen solid after an ice storm, as was the rug, my horses quite frequently 'jingle' with icicles in manes and tails, and it isn't unusual to see rugs with actual icicles on them either!

I remember my friends brother getting his tongue stuck to the inside of the freezer testing out the same theory! Sounds funny, but I don't think he was laughing much at the time! |

Nikki, no I wasn't ill surprisingly. I don't go out with wet hair anymore though, and I did almost turn into a human lollipop after falling through ice into a river rescuing a puppy. Damn puppy wasn't even wet to the skin after that escapade either
