I live in St. Ives in Cornwall and we have some beautiful hacking and plenty of beaches to ride along but there doesnt seem to be much in the name of endurance, le trec, fun rides etc. Id love to go out hacking all day in a group but there doesnt seem to be much down my way!
Please tell me im wrong? Are any of you in Cornwall and do you participate in these activities? How do i go about getting in to them? do i need to join a club or something?
Holly why don't you join the Bridleways Group - they meet every Sunday and do 2-3 hour rides (often stop at a pub for lunch) around West Penwith, also take in Great Flat Lode and Tramways and other areas in West Cornwall. There is usually a report on the rides every week in the Cornishman newspaper. Adrian (Chair) and Margaret (Secretary) are very friendly and always trying to recruit new members. If you join you also get a newsletter every month. I can give you their number if you are interested. Trudi
