Hi all, just wondering if any A-Liners will be at Hartpury this weekend, if so would be nice to hook up. Of the 3 horses he's working with, 2 are pure-bred arabs, a colt and a stallion, they are both really gorgeous horses so I can't wait. Cheers, Renee

Here's a bit more info - I expressed an interest in KFH's workshops ages ago and have been on the email list so was sent a flyer several months ago. I couldn't believe he was here in the UK, and not far from me in the West Country so I booked immediately. I am sure tickets are still available, and I understand you can pay on the day but it's more expensive. The web site for his UK courses is www.hempfling.co.uk - there is a woman called Di Gilpin who is helping organise this, she's a big fan of his work. I hope admin don't consider this advertising? On Saturday he is working with 3 horses, 2 of which have specific problems/issues, and one is just a mischievous young colt by the sound of things. He does seem to work a lot with stallions and colts, which is interesting. On the Sunday he is doing a 'dancing with horses' workshop. I am going on both days. There is more info on the web page. Cheers, Renee |

He's an interesting bloke, with some rather un PC attitudes towards horsemanship (with the emphasis on MAN!), but a fantastic horseman never the less. I'd love to see him, but i didn't know about it until this week, and haven't got a cat in hells chance of getting there now. You must give us a write up afterwards, i bet it'll be great. Ros |

Hi Ros, Yes, I've had mixed feelings particularly reading his books and watching the DVDs! However, as you say he's clearly onto something special. I'd love to do a write up but I'm fully expecting to be wiped out afterwards - I've got ME, hence my rather erratic participation in this forum and I hardly ever go to shows and events any more. I'm actually pretty rough at the moment, so heaven knows how I'm going to cope with the 2 days. Still, gotta have something to look forward to. I will at least give a quick feedback on it as soon as I can. Cheers, Renee |

Hi everyone,
Well, before I crash out, just a note to say the weekend was amazing for me. It is almost impossible to put into words what it was all about, and definitely impossible for me to report on it, it was more about experiencing it - you really need to go and see for yourself and do the exercises Klaus teaches. Not everyone 'got it', I think because Klaus doesn't seem to fit it into a model, or a methodology, he goes with the flow and it is very much about how you are, being grounded, using your personal energy & power, and about instinct. Beyond that, I can't describe it, but I found it fascinating.
I learnt a great deal particularly from the demonstration this afternoon with one woman and her Arabian stallion! Suffice to say that she was remarkable - extremely honest and open. She was very focused and listened hard to Klaus when he was coaching her. As a result, she did an amazing job with her stallion, both she and her horse left the arena today completely different to when they arrived yesterday. People around me were commenting on how her stallion was looking even more beautiful as his whole persona softened and he became very gentle, but he was still full of wonderful power and energy. It was amazing, and I guess it's what we all want from our gorgeous, spirited Arabians. Many people around me were complimenting this stallion and his owner, how beautiful this horse was, and were expressing interest in the Arabian breed as a result. I had to give more than one quick briefing on the performance abilities of Arabs as well as their beauty!!
I am a bit dazed by it all, a lot to take in, but it was very exciting.
Cheers, Renee |
