Sorry folks, just a proud dad moment! One of our home bred part-breds has just started her competitive career and took Reserve Champion at her third ever attempt to jump round a course of jumps, and with a novice jockey on board! She is Ruby Shy, nearly 33% Arabian and as genuine as they come.

Ruby Shy, all grown up, pictured this week at the Festival of Champions. She qualified in her first ever class and this was only her third time in the ring.
Half way round the course which included scary fillers and a water tray. Way to go, Ruby!
Really getting the hang of this, so is Leanne who is also completing her third ever course, same as Ruby!
We could get used to this!

We nearly lost their dam, Malibu Surfbreaker, this year as she twisted a gut and had colic surgery. Thankfully, she recovered and we hope she will have more babies just like them in the future.
Arabs can jump.....get them out there!

Cheryl, just you watch out for me on It's Showtyme! He is one of our stallions, 3rd in my sig pic, and he's started too, with me on board! Maybe I don't bounce as well as I used to but I took him round his first ever course last week and we went clear! Woo Hoo! I haven't jumped competitively for about seven or eight years but it's like riding a bike! Oh for the good old days with me on Bliss and you on Copper...we showed the opposition that the best they could hope for was third!!! Memories, memories!!!
PS Your pals in Glenbrae RC were asking kindly for you. Saw them a couple of weeks ago and they're all still there on the committee. |

Now your really going full circle.I think thats fantastic.your horses are some of the most well mannered and perfectly turned out that ive ever seen. The photographs you take are spectacular, still dont know how you find time to work! You never know how many horses you have,i think your too scared to count.Wish you all the best and i will look out for you jumping, would quite enjoy watching that Proud dad--you should be shouting from the rooftops..
Cant believe its the same folks!! One day ill take my boy to their showing show |
