Went to ride my mare this morning and whilst grooming i noticed that her left kind fetlock/pastern area was slightly swollen, not massivley and it wasn't until i felt it and it felt puffy and hot that i actually convinced myself that it was swollen.
My friend trotted her up and there was no sign of lameness at all. As we had planned to take out all 3 horses we still did and just walked as if id left her behind she wud have raced around like a looney. She was still sound when we got back but the swelling was the same. Hosed her leg and put her out, shes happy and its not bothering her at all.
Typical i had the vet out on satmorning to look at another horse! vets coming out again on friday to check another horse so if still swollen will get it checked then.
there out in a moor land type field at the moment where its quite rocky and theres lots of un even ground soim guessing she must have twisted/sprained it?
am i right to not be to concerned? thanks
