Did anyone else go to Susan George's Autumn Showcase yesterday?
It was such a fantastic day; the weather might have been dreadful but wow the horses certainly put on a super show My Mum came with me - she's been to shows with me previously but never to an Open Day - and absolutely loved it I think she may well be a convert
Their warmth and hospitality were second to none. The horses were awesome, I could go on about a number but our favourite was SG Amber Djewel - wow she can move and the grand man himself, Artist who just looked incredible at 27 years old and who could still strut his stuff Thank you very much and I'm already looking forward to next year!

Would like to have gone but have always been put off by adverts/website saying "by invitation only". Does it mean that you have to wait for one or can anyone get one if they contact stud?

Hi Angela and Denise,
The reason that Simon and Susan advertise their showcase saying "by invitation only" is that they would be inundated with people if they made it an open house simply because of who they are in their other walks of life outside, as well as inside the Arabian Horse Industry. They ask people to apply for tickets, meaning tickets are available but as they have limited seating, they take people on a first come first served basis. The fact is that because the showcase has built up such a reputation over the years (and they are beautifully done), many of the same people book ahead a year in advance. If you want to attend one (and I believe that Susan usually looks to organise one round about Easter time) then enquire now and your name will be added to the next showcase invitation list. Hope this helps!
Best regards,

Many thanks Mary
I'll not feel too embarrassed to contact the stud next time now that I know the form.
