Does anyone know of a grey mare called Siri, reg name Beshar. She's registered as a partbred, but looks more like an anglo (which she is, but mum wasn't registered). She's about 16hh and I think around 14yrs old. I bred her and sold her when she was 5, as couldn't afford to keep all 3 horses, and also she needed much more work than I could give her. She was sold to a girl in London and was kept in Cobham (surrey) in a very large yard, which was mainly geared up for teenagers. Any information, good or bad would be gratefully received. I do have my doubts as to wether she's even still alive, as was always getting injured in her new yard, and even got hit by a car within a few months of us selling her. I regret selling her, but sometimes theres no going back.

Lauren. Thank you. Any news, good or bad will be gratefully received. If you need any more details, she's out of an unreg anglo mare called Blue Easter and by Prince Shazani (think thats spelt right). I do have some pics of her, but only when she was somewhat younger and a much darker grey than last time I saw her, when she was fleabitten like her mum.

Hi Cherie,
The yard you mentioned is actually where I am stabled but it was taken over a number of years back and renovated. All but one original livery has gone.
So Siri was stabled here, but she was moved about 7 years ago. The original livery has been kind enough to offer to find out where the mare went.
I will let you know as soon as I hear anything.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you but I still don't have all that much news I'm afraid.
I spoke to Kirsty on the weekend and she said that Philippa used to look after Siri well. However, Siri was sold on at some point. She seemed to think that she was sold to a lady who was interested/experienced (?) in Arabs. She also said that Philippa's mother cared a lot about Siri and would have been very particular as to whom she was sold to. So it sounds like she must have gone to a good home.
Unfortunately Kirsty has lost contact with Philippa but she still has some friends who may have Philippa's contact details, so she has said that she will try and work on this now. Again, unfortunately, she had no further information about the lady who Siri was sold to - apart from that she was either experienced with, or keen on, Arabs.
Fingers crossed, I may hear some more news soon. Sorry its not all that helpful so far.

I spoke to Kirsty today - not good news I'm afraid. No one she knows is still in contact with Philippa and she doesn't know how else to trace her.
I'm really sorry I can't help. I hope its some reassurance though that it sounds like Siri was sold on to a knowledgable and kind (Arab) home.
I'll continue to keep an ear out, and will of course let you know if I ever have any more news.

Sorry I can't help with the mare's whereabouts, but I had a lovely gelding bred by Cliffend Arabians, Kent who is related to this mare. The two horses you mention - Prince Shazani and Blue Easter, were his Grandparents on his dams side.
