Crikey Shah hope your ok !
I'd try red cell if you think he's anaemic, or the hemo 7 jab from the vet is amazing! prob chaper then spending loads on supplements that might or might not work

Oh no. Hope you are OK T. Hes a monkey isnt he, just when you have your guard down and you are feeling a bit sorry for the old boy! Ones thing for certain, hes lucky to have you or he'd still be standing in the corner of that field. Don t let the responsibility of it overwhelm you though, theres always a solution one way or the other - if he has to be retired so be it, another door will open. I like your action plan and I hope he is 'just' anaemic.

hi shah , hope you ok!! sorry to hear your boy is poorly , big hugs
have you tried calling roger hatch? he is rather good at giving advice along these lines- although not old boy, ramak was very poorly last spring , depressed tired - no 'get up & go ' turns out his potassium levels were all wrong and roger was amazing in his diagnosis and his 'perscriptive'tonic which is amazing - he was back to normal in weeks!
try googling 'trinity consultants' i wont be doing the ride either - i am doing things clser to home at the mo - plus panache is not good again poor sweetie ,and vet is back on monday - i fear the worst - i am not sure if the navicular has regressed with a vengence keep you fingers crossed for me & i for you xxx |

Well, after our escapade last week I've ended up with whiplash injury and constant headache since Wed. It's slowly getting better but coupled with exhaustion from overdoing it at work, I'm not feeling myself at the moment.
Shah on the other hand is definitely getting better. I got on him today and he walked off quite happily, no more standing still or dragging feet. He's back to his grumpy self, biting me (never thought I'd be happy about that...), and the colour on his gums is returning after three days on fast absorbing Iron Aid from Global Herbs and some brewers yeast.
Sazzle, I'm keeping everything crossed for you and Nashy, let us know how things go after the vet has been.
So THANK YOU to Emma - and all of the rest of you - AL comes up trumpf again |

Shah- no probs at all, glad to hear things are looking up for him. With regards to the headaches/ whiplash i know what you mean, i kept getting headaches it was only when i saw a McTimoney Chiropractor and she asked if i was getting headaches did i realise it was connected to my neck injury, howvever she did manage to improve things. Get well soon.
Sazzle- hope everything goes ok for Panache. |

Ouch, that must have hurt! Hope you'll be feeling OK soon. I had a yearling go over the top of me a few years ago and it hurt like hell - not something I'd wish on anyone.
Very pleased to hear Shah is starting to feel better, hope he carries on improving now! |
