Between work and endurance stuff I've been really busy of late. I had time this morning to add all the new pics of Po to my website and update it in general. Sorry to be over indulgent of my girl, but she's my world
Alongside the 'Through Po's ears' page I've also added a new 'Through Po's eyes' page too! Hopefully it's a wee bit funny Hope you like...http://www.freewebs.com/feefifo/
I find it relaxing and fun messing around with my website! If you've never made one you should give it a go, it's really easy

Really beautiful, I especialy love the Through Po's ears
I have a shot a little like that in the rain on my pony mare in the bush near where I live, it is a shot of a peice of bush i used to ride through as a child.
I took it because that peice of bush had just been sold, & I didn't want to forget
So thankyou for your lovely website it made me remember |

Hi Fee I love your web site and it is so heart warming to realise someone is so passionate abour her horse. I am very interested to know more about the halter you are riding in as I am just backing and bringing on my 4yo arab who is a complete gentleman so far and the way you ride your mare looks really interesting. I hope to do some endurance with my boy sometime in the furture. When I have a more time I will sign up as a friend on your website, busy at the moment as even though it is Sunday I am working on my magazine that needs to go to print by tuesday morning. So really I shouldn't even be on this web-site!!!

Thank you all. Just back from riding and sorting Po for the night. If I'm not with her I'm messing around with pics of her on my website...sad really Glad you liked it though I really enjoyed making it.
Alison I ride Po in a bosal and treeless saddle. She seems happy with it all and the bosal means she can get a good old munch when she pretends she's got an itchy leg Or of course when she must help clear the overhanging branches for me!

Hi Fee thanks for that, where can I buy a bosal also does she get strong in it and how does the control work ie Poll pressure I presume. Also what saddle are you using. Thanks agin I am doing something I really should not at the moment but hey ho!!!

Eek! No! No poll pressure in a bosal I have trained Po to be 'light' so she doesn't get strong and I ride her in long reins and neck rein her. Really she is voice controlled but if needs be I pick up the rein and the knot you see below her chin lifts, that's why she must be 'light' to feel the slightest lift of the knot. If she doesn't respond to this then ultimately you can pull them in and the bosal (on the nose) will pressure there, but that's just your emergency brake It's hard to explain briefly as it's a completely different psyche from riding in bit, constantly bracing the horse and putting stronger bit's in. The saddle is a Barefoot Cheyenne.
Gail, yes let's get something organised soon. I have a ride next weekend, how about the one after? Can't wait to see him!

Hi Fee,
Yes the following weekend should be fine, give me a ring to arrange. Good luck with the ride next weekend. There are a few nice places for lunch in Strathaven.

Sorry Fee. I've been on another planet this week. However, Po and Polka are wonderful. I might have to hire you to do our website properly! |

Fee- I love your website. Po is just my kind of horse - I love that you can do endurance rides in your bosal and your mare still stays light and in control. I ride in a bosal on my mare -she was bitted when she was backed but I've ridden in a bosal ever since.
Keep taking pics they're lovely.

Thanks for the lovely comments everyone Merlot I still cry every time I read Freyja's tribute can you imagine what I was like making the page! It took me nights and nights, I still so miss my lovely big orange girl
Visconde you know photos are only as good as the person taking them Thank you for ALL the shots of Po this year Are you able to dig out that first pic you took of us in 07 at the group show? I'd love purchase it as a jpg if possible?
Hey Trudi, that's great you use a bosal too, like your horse Po was backed with a bit, but since coming to me it's been a bosal or rope halter and over time she's got better and lighter. Now I'd love a set of horsehair reins to get things even lighter...my next purchase
