Yesterday becasuse of the severe wet weather warning for today & tomorrow - we put NZ rugs on the two foals. It was so funny to watch them looking at each other! Ruby didn't bat an eye lid to having her first ever rug on - Charlie on the other hand found it very exciting - despite having been rugged for the first few weeks of his life. Pleased it made you all smile Just been out to feed them & both foals snug & dry in their rugs. It is wild, VERY, VERY wet & gales here (expect its the same for most of you) - not nice at all!!!!

I've just got from work, what should be a 20 minute drive, turned into an hour due to torrential rain and flooding. I've brought the neds in as their field is waterlogged. I am soaked to the skin and really grumpy and don't want to muck out tomorrow! I mean, it's only September! But logging on and seeing Ruby and Charlie all kitted out in their new rugs has made me smile!! Well done Judith, it takes a lot to cheer me up..lol..I'm just going to open the wine bottle now!!

Well I am just so delighted that my two foalies & my silly first attempt at video with words/music (pretty silly!!!) has cheered up so many of you - this weather is the pits isn't it?!!!!! If I can do it - so can you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lots have commented on the field the foals are in.......it is just one of 17 out of 77 acres (all wonderfull!!!) that we now have at out new farm.....spoilt for choice!!!! The field has a big dip running through the middle - where a stream would have run - three of the fields are the same - the others are mostly flat with a slight slope.
