I had this with my young arab. I first noticed it last year not long after he was broken in. I was worried and started giving supplements, ,but no improvement. I asked a very good horse vet who vets at EHB rides, she said not to worry, it is air trapped between the knee joints. She said a lot of people think it is bone rubbing together.. not so. my boy still has a clicky front knee but he is fine!!

hi, our boy has clickly knees and has done for the last couple of years. He cliks when mooching around the field most of all,but it is really noticeable when he lifts a leg to move a fly and he click click clicks away.we had our vet check it out and he said it was really nothing to worry about.
we also tried 2 different types to suppliments but neither made any difference. we just do consistant work to keep the joints moving, and that does the trick for us.Hope everything is ok with you mares legs.

Hi,
Gucc had this as a two year old shortly after i bought him. It clicked very frequently, but as he's gotten older it doesn't do it so much(hes 5 now) and i only hear it very occasionally
