This is exactly why I got involved in Maggie's Law campagn....not just for the horses, but for those animals who have lost their lives through violence, neglect, abuse, or any other careless act of humans. I'm sooo sick of seeing the Border Collies that come to our yard (we are a first port of call for Border Collie Rescue) that have been beaten or starved, or plain ignored by some of the excuses for humanity on this little island of ours, it's heartbreaking....one yesterday was a 7 month old JRT x Border pup, thrown out of his owners home 'cos he left hairs on the couch' and the 8 yr old female that has been left cos she's been replaced by a new pup...I could go on....

Pixie and Zan, and all others on this thread, you have my admiration!

Thanks for that Michelle---could have been written for me since lots of people on here seem to think I am ridiculous---thanks for your support, and yours Pat---nice to know not everyone thinks I am ridiculous

Everyone who rants on here should do something. It is depressing being involved in animal protection, but when I get low because whatever I do it isn't enough I try to remember what someone said to me once--

You can't save all the animals in the world but you can make a world of a difference to those you save.
