Is anyone else frantically (like 3 or 4 times a day!) checking the weather forecasts for next week?
How close do we have to get before they are acurate?

Yes! I was just discussing it with my OH in fact. Monday looks rainy but can't go any further than that on BBC. I have little faith in long range forecast i.e. anything past tomorrow!
Great Malvern was 25 degrees today, wouldn't it be fantastic if it was the same this time next week? Fingers crossed.

We've just checked the 10 day forecast on the internet which gives for Thursday - rain, Friday - rain, Saturday - fine, Sunday - fine. Typical we are there Thursday/Friday. Don't you just hate it when that happens. |

Not asking for it to be baking hot, just nice
Here's hoping for nice dry fine weather

Yes I keep checking too!!
Although I have to say the BBC one you can't trust at all. Yesterday for where I live it said today and saturday rain and today it says bright sunshine for both ???? The main blessing I suppose is that the build up to Malvern hasn't been the torrential weather of last year so we'll all cope with anything else! Fingers crossed we see some sunshine though |

After being at Malvern last week for the Palomino Champs, the ground could do with a bit of rain as it is cracking in places and is quite hard.... Just looked at forecast on bbc weather - hmmmmmm heavy showers and sunshine - but as you say you can't always trust that one as we were supposed to have dull weather this weekend gone, but I think we have had the hottest sunniest days in years!!!!! Oh well no matter what the weather - with the great horses and friends around us we will certainly enjoy Jackie

This is definitly going to be a time when my 'just in case' packing philosphy pays off I think
Frankly as long as the show goes ahead, and the horses are safe, I don't care what the weather is. It's bound to be a bit of everything - it is Malvern after all. |

I bet Marilyn can tell us!!
but I have memories going back some years & if we have a really good first couple of days then it will thunder for the last championships on saturday!!
If it's cold & wet for first 2 days then it's cold and wet for the final day!!
So I'm packing my sun hat & wellies, shades & coat + everything else you need for an English summer!
Here's wishing everyone a very succesful National show and I hope to get to talk to as many of you as possible. |

I am packing for ALL weathers and I WILL enjoy it come what may!!! (My camera may not tho'!!!) Like Chris says if we have warm weather come 3 pm Saturday (or just a little later ...) all hell will let loose! Saturday is invariably a damp misty start - seems a tradition for the foals! |

Evie I remember that too - my poor boy looking so wet and miserable with water dripping off the end of his nose - bless
Well we had a good old thunderstorm last night and today its a bit cloudy but the sun is shining thru.
Whatever the weather - we'll all enjoy the show |
