Hi. I really need some help with a name for my girl. Mum is Mystic amber and daddy is tobago. I like place names but non i have found seen too suit her. She is quite leggy, very pretty. very friendly and i have a feeling she just might be a little git. She is also very special. The one and only horse i have bred. To a very special mare and is the last gift too me from my dad who died. So Bmw help would be really appreciated. She is six weeks old and is still called baby or legs. (poor thing )So anything begining with m or u, or mystical things, or a place name. or to do with chestnut, it could be russian, or, or, or. Any suggestions wld be appreciated. I have now looked through 2 books and quite alot of web sites and i am very much named out, and i somehow seem to have lost the ability to make a decision. All help very much appreciated.

Gosh thanks everyone. Some really good names in there. My dads name was brian ashford. On predictive text that comes out as asian. I do have an apology to make. Bit off a mistype. It should have been names begining with t not u, sorry everyone. I type from my phone with predictive text and it does some funny things sometimes. Or thats my excuse anyway:) it has nothing to do with me its all my phones fault:) |

Mystoba? Riban? Nabir?
Sorry, I'm not very good at this - took me ages to name my dog, never mind a horse. Any pics?? That sometimes helps. |

sarahA I hope your foal is as special as my first foal, the same situation as you in that the mare was brought by my dad when he knew he only had a few months to live, first horse and a promise he had made he kept. I have mist or myst in all the foals names we have bred. Heres a few we have thought up in the past. mystic rose firey myst mildew mist amber mystchievious rose myst mysteria (could put something in front like her pet name we have zaida mysteria) Into the myst mystical wonder
orian myst mystic orian
or even mix up names you like, like avanti's name with myst on the end Taranga myst
if i find the book of names we have for future foals will post the names. we made a name up once from the dam, sire and grand dam, put it togeather, googled the name found it was a place, and also meant goddess of magic foal was born and she had her initial on her shoulder a perfect m on her brown shoulder.

Hi everyone. Thank you all so much. There are some really good names in there. I did think off trinidad, but Kate's dummy mare is called that so i think it would always remind me off tobagos lady lover, i do like asia as well and its definately on my short list, as is mystchievous, and jamaica. My friend thinks i should add a prefix or suffix off LG For little git. So LG Jamaica, but then i am stuck for a stable name. I really am rubbish. The blacksmith thinks i should call her moet, he thinks her head looks like an upside down bottle, wide at the top with a teeny nose. Charmin:). Sam, your welcome when ever you want too come round. She really is scrummy. But i would think that wouldnt i. Thanks again everyone you have certainly given me loads to think about. Not sure me and thinking are the best off friends at the moment:) |
