I have been on LY's and would never do it again.

Twelve years ago I was lucky to find a small yard with 3 stables a feed room and a small barn. There is 4 1/2 acres which I have divided into 4 fields. There is also enough room for my small caravan and trailer.

In the past I have had liverys but now on have my friend that lives next door to the yard. The arrangment works very well, we help each other out.

I would never go back to having any liverys again.

Thanks Pixie & Pintoarabians,

It was lovely today I walked the dogs around the fields and watched the horses grazing happily, all I could hear was the birds,

my colt is coming home soon so it might not be quiet for long

Lx

How horrible to have such awful experiences on yards

I pride myself in having nice poeple with nice horses on my yard, everyone is interviewed before they are given a place and discreet enquiries about the person and the horse are made before I agree to take them ( the horse world is a very small one )

I rarely have vacancies and usually people phoning on the off chance

I think if yards are choosy enough and don't take just anyone to fill the stables then it can be the relaxing and happy place it should be after all its an expensive hobby to be somewhere miserable
