Going on from the loo thread!!! My husband gets really annoyed with me as i have a problem with going loo for a few days when staying away!! I take a bottle of tea tree and clean the bathroom kitchen etc of our apartment or hotel room I cant do bear feet on carpet!! if its wood stone i also clean it!!! Also have to check under the bed and make sure its clean and check the pillows are new disposable ones or clean and the sheets bedding as i wont get in until i have called them up to sort it to my satisfaction I dont suffer with whatever the cleaning disorder is!! as my own home is proof of that and am fine with people i know and their homes its just hotel etc when away from home and the thought of loads of people with atheletes foot and theyre dribnle on bedding etc makes me severly gag!! Please let there be others and not only me with this phobia!!!

You are not alone
I don't quite go to the same lengths as you but I am extremely particular about staying at hotels etc. I like to take my own pillows for a start! I also check the bedding before I will sleep in it. I will only have a room with a shower. I won't wallow in a strange bath
I am more phobic with restaraunts. I examine the cutlery, won't share sauce bowls. I couldn't bear the thought of anyone using their own cutlery in it. (Harvester's are guilty of this ) I always try to look through the swinging doors to see the kitchen and the staff

Yep...I can get snoopy in hotels , bedrooms, loo,s diningrooms, etc . I an NOT at all houseproud ( OH gardener, nephew machanic,9dogs, 2 kids, ...I gave up) But living with my own dirt is one thing, paying for a room or a meal and sharing some-one else's is quite another thing all together !!! |

I'm sure I said this before but I have a phobia of any toilets apart from my own and "familiar ones" (parents).... it really did take me three years to go for a wee at work... I would never EVER even think of a number two anywhere else but home!! |

Just to finish everybody off... have you ever looked at the underneath of the loo roll dispenser, particularly the ones where you have to pull the tissues out. - this is out in the wild obviously, not in ones own home
I near eat garnish when out for a meal. I am sure it gets recyled from plate to plate.

My best mate is just like Monica from friends! We go away together for a girlie week every yearand i wait in reception until she is satisfield that the hotel room is suitable, I've learnt that it saves me dragging my stuff around until she's happy! She does have OCD in this respect but I am always very happy that our hotel is clean! |

Ha ha Kirsty!! You've reminded me of a story about one of my best friends' husbands. When he was a kid, the teachers used to have to let him run home (village school!) if he needed to go for a No2 because he couldn't go in the school loos!! There's someting about toilets isn't there?? |
