well I am only just recovering from the weekend. Friday night we went to a Cancer research/Air ambulance Fund raiser..Barcombe Ball...always a riotous night. Great fun, great venue,food,entertainment(mmm..more of that later). Merlot (on here) and OH and I got dressed up and off we went........had a glass of bubbly or 3 .. had a wonderfull night....we were entertained by another guest, a woman who danced ALL night on her own, in a dress that was falling off her...she was on another planet, (or maybe just on illigal substances)her dancing style was akin to a hydraulic crane on Acid... VERY FUNNY and then saturday we were very industrious and cleared out the tackroom /dungeon and on sunday.....for those of you who don,t read the Endurance section on here , we were mental enough to think we could ride the Witham Vale ride , and not get too wet HA! photo taken by the epic Eric G Jones, who was ensconsed in his 4x4 and still got wet! it rained a little as you can see ( if you want to know what happens if you put your jods on backwards in heavy rain ...read the endurance bit on here) anyway...me and my boy , doing what he does best...

Oh they have to go on the right way round or you are in deep poo believe me. It was interesting trying to get those off at 3.30am I can tell you especially after several pints of wine and a 4 course meal. They've got this rubberised type of seal thingy around the top and I think all the jigging around on the dance floor created a vaccuum which proved to be fairly tight when I tried to get the buggers off The subsequent fall out wasn't pretty Just amazed (and grateful) they didn't burst. All hail to St Michael of Marks and Spencer - he da man. |

Thanks guys, us Northern lasses do scrub up well ! Our Horses were complete stars, I had brakes !!!and Merlots Arab did not gets his pants in a wedgie, he was quite calm throughout. This is largely due to Big Ed and the work he has been doing with them both recently.......and Ed recieved a suitable oversized bar of chocolate as a thank you. Roll on the next ride.......but without the rain please! |

TC don't be down-hearted, think of all the good things;
You can run without lookig as if two jack russells are fighting in your t-shirt.
You can quite safely go on a trampoline.
Clothes hang nicely, just like on the super models.
You can lie on the floor to look under low things when you drop something.
You can wear things with teeny spaghetti straps and not need scaffolding and industrial sized strapping.
You wont suffer from boob weight induced back-ache.
Am sure others can think of more plus-es for the less developed mammaries...
(Larger ladies please don't take offence, just trying to boost a fellow aliner in need of a lift). |

Oh it was fun trying to get the magic pants off - NOT. They were the ones which go up to just underneath the boobs - got the frock off OK eventually, then had to break the seal that the rubberised strip under the boobs had formed, felt like they were welded on. Took a fair amount of wriggling, pulling, shoving and swearing to break the vaccuum. Then trying to roll them down having unleashed the lard above, well, it wasn't pretty, it was like lava spilling out from a volcano. Couple that with dying for a wee at the same time, it was a bit frantic and I was expecting the Benny Hill theme tune to kick in at any moment.
TC, keep the pony and just invest in some chicken fillets (preferably free range - lol). Large bazookas are not always handy and God bless the person who invented the sports bra. Had we both not been wearing sports bras on the ride last Sunday (it was a 20k pleasure ride), we would have had black eyes and no teeth, not a good look. It's a bummer when you get older as well when they keep banging off your knee caps. |
