Big excitement tempered by a traumatic day with one of our yearlings! The first foal to be sired by Akhira arrived this morning. He's an Arab/Highland x but quite Araby looking. He's quite leggy with huge hocks. He's adorable and I can't wait to see how he develops. Well done to his Mum Stella as this is her first and to his human mum - Lorna who spent a long night waiting for him to appear. I have emailed photo's to Fee and asked her to post them for me.
He was six hours old when pics were taken. Him Mum is fantastic - a Highland with attitude, fairly convinced she's really a thoroughbred! Don't be too jealous Offira - this is our friends farm. We have some amazing views but no sea.
