In 1990 I bought a 3 yrs old colt named Amaaly (St John ex Bint Amaana by Rafid)from Mrs de Popp and have had a lot of fun with him over the years and used him at stud. He now has a well earnt retirement spending his days with his 2 ladies, Danza (polish bred arab) and Jonja (polopony). I am now looking for a new colt with similar bloodlines, crabbet/ayerza, Does anyone knows of any colt for sale pref. with bloodlines from Mrs de Popp?

Hi The breeders who are specialising in these lines are Beeston Hall Arabians Tel: 01692 631000 There was an article in the Crabbet Journal a while back, about the Ayerza bloodlines. Alexia (Athena) will also be able to tell you a bit more about them if you want to know. |

I just saw this message and it prompted me to write and ask if anybody owns a relation to my mare who came from Mrs de Popp, she too is by St John, but out of Aisha. She is a wonderful mare, companion and friend, very sadly retired a year and half ago due to a terrible accident where she broke a leg. Sadly I was so busy riding her that I never did breed from her, which of course I now regret. Anyway, she is now 21yrs and she has a happy retirement to the end of her days grazing peacefully in my paddocks. Although I was devastated to retire her. I would really love to track down any close relations of her and hear about them. Nicki. |
