my stepsister has had a bad kick from her stallion, hed been covering mares and was feeling a little frisky{normally hes a little lamb}she went around the back to get his headcollar for the blacksmith and got both barrels in the ribs.Shes now in borders general with broken ribs and a torn liver.Shes hoping to be fine for the highland but i doubt it.She is kicking herself{scuse the pun}for being a bit complacent with her boy.JUST WANT TO SAY GET WELL SOON NIC

Eeeeek! Having had high jinks yesterday with my boy who hates the blacksmith and was attemting to give anyone in his way both barrels, I truly sympathise. Always 'blink of an eye stuff' with horses. Hope you recover soon TC's stepsister. |

That sounds thoroughly nasty. Eeeouch!! Don't rush the liver thing. My old guv'nor was kicked by a horse and had endless problems with her liver following it. She didn't ride for years. That was a long time ago though and I expect that medicine has come on a bit since then. But do be careful and don't rush it. |

Hi Nic here thank you all for your best wishes, I'm feeling fine just having to be careful, need to find someone to show for me at the Highland dont think that i'll be able to hold my big sports horse, could shoot myself for being so careless!!. wont be covering mares without a body protector and hat in the future though. Poor boy is very put out at having no cuddles over the past few days. Tracie been in to groom him(nobody will let me near the horses!) having scan next week to see how my liver is repairing its self so no booze till then! bummer! thanks again to everyone Nicola |
