My Pony Drani is 33 today. He is by Indrani out of a New Forest mare - Minuet. He arrived 29 years ago and very quickly established who was boss 
Here he is this morning eating his birthday breakfast and hanging out with his friends  . They look peaceful enough in the photos but 10 minutes beforehand the grey had jumped out of the field to join the Pony in a birthday gallop round the wood whilst the bay was left doing the light fantastic round the field.

In all the years I have had him I only ever fell off him once - when I over rode him at a ditch and he invited me to get off and walk
Kirsty, my heart missed a beat when I saw your photo. In fact I had to do several double takes. They are so alike, it's amazing. |

Even my daughter who know every hair on Razs body said fari was raz!! Whats her breeding? are they related?
Raz is Carmargue and Silouette... I was going to post the allbreeds link but someone has messed around with his pedigree... it says his mum was a quarter horse!!! He's Purebred! Must sort that out! |

Yes, Fari and Raz are related, but 3 generations back. You would think they were brother and sister.

I guess it must be the Farette influence that is showing through. Bey Shadow and Velvet Shadow in Raz's pedigree are a flashy pair aren't they?

wow! I can just imagine her to have the same character as Raz... its hard to imagine anything else when they are the double of each other....
He's very showy and loves (and I mean LOVES) attention, he's such a soppy horse and has to give you a big slobbery kiss everyday... He's also a big wimp and a big scardy cat but very gentle with everyone he's around... He does like to push it sometimes and test you a bit out on the road and hates working! All in all though he's a very laid back, quick to learn, loves the limelight gent!
Such a shame he was gelded... we could have made raz/fari clones!!! |
