As the title says really.
I'm based near Dulverton, 10 minutes hack up the lane to get onto Exmoor proper. My arab isn't fit so I'm not up for doing anything fast or fancy yet.......but having been to day one of the Golden Horseshoe just up the road from here and feeling all inspired, I would so like someone to hack out with.
I've even got a spare horse, TB x, a rescue case, who also needs bringing back into work, he'll be ready to hack out when I've found a decent saddle for him. He's a very amiable chap who would love to get out and about.
There are a lot of riders around here but they seem to be either the hunting bunch, whose horses are being turned away for the summer, or the trekking centre people, and I don't want to go out in a big crowd as it blows my arab's mind (rolls eyes).
So if there's anyone on here local to me who fancies some riding/riding company please let me know....arrrrrgh I feel like Carol-no-mates.....cheers

I'm not a million miles away- down near Exeter but a bit far for me to hack to you as have no transport!  |

I live at Wheddon Cross and have my arab in Treborough. he is only young but very sensible and knows the area well. He is a true confidence giver to other horses and we often use him to help get the other horses past spooky things like flapping tarpaulins.
I am only just starting to back him and so walk ( for miles) on foot.
Please don't be put off by his age for sensibility and possibility of upsetting your horse. I've had him from six months and have worked with him nearly every day.
I would love to have arab owner to walk with - so long as it is not very fast!

Jasjmm, your friend and her young arab sound perfect company...I wonder if Wheddon Cross is a bit too far from me, I don't have any transport. Be pleased to chat with her though, shall I PM you my phone number? |
