Huge congratulations to Evie, Taragun and the Team!
I have a special soft spot for them (they know why ) and always get a lump in my throat when I read about their latest triumphs. |

Just a reminder for those who don't know - Libby and her mum bred the Beautiful and Talented Taragun (Shogun x Taretta).
Taz is 14'2" (if she stretches her toes!) and is liver chestnut with 3 white socks and hooves. She is so chilled and laid back but she can pull some horrendous faces when she's woken up at 4am to load to go to a competition. She has exactly the right temperament for eventing. She's calm for the dressage, loads back into the trailer and waits for the show jumping then gets just the right level of "hype" for show jumping, calms back down and waits for cross country and then explodes out of the start box like a little rocket with her tail held so high she couldn't be any other breed than an Arab! She comes back and stands at the side of the trailer, without being tied up whilst she's washed down and then gracefully munches her carrot and apple treats before gracing the lorry park with her presence as she strolls about to cool down. She's quite an attraction and nearly everyone looks at her.
She's referred to as "the little one" for example - "when am I on, am I after the little, pretty one?". Some people look a little disbelieving at us, till she comes back clear and not even sweating when they come back looking like froth balls with sides heaving. That's when we get the smiles from other riders and nice comments.
Today she's snoozed all afternoon in the sun after her hectic day yesterday. And Her Majesty deserves her rest! |

Absolutely fabulous! Well done - 11th in any affiliated BE event is amazing - I do a lot of dressage writing and sometimes there are 40 horses in one section!
fantastic pic - she's got amazing scope - standing off that corner which must have been full height! You're braver than me Evie! I like my fences to fall down if I make a hash of it!
Let's all keep flying the flag for the breed - your pics should be on the AHS website!
When are you next out? I'll come and cheer you on if its in the Midlands.

| Rachelle im so pleased and Proud,Sandy visited today who owns Fred ,and we had the horsey photo albums out, as you do, and were showing sand pics of Taz with Taretta as a fluffy foal at Royal cornwall, Circa 1992 i think so sweet,i said you must of heard of the beautiful and talented Taragon,well here she is as a foaly complete with baby fluff that WOULD NOT come out, (bright chestnut when underneath was liver chestnut, bless her!! ) |

| I was so near to being able to reproduce these bloodlines quite closely!, I have a Shogun mare, deep flaxen chestnut with 3 white socks and if I had kept him could have used a son of Ghibli on her. C'est la vie! There is probably only ONE Taragun, and the relationship she has with her young rider. I wish I had had that talent when I was only 13, well done. |
