My first pregnancy was an accident but I miscarried.... after that I decided I would like a baby so I tried for one, fell pregnant again straight away but miscarried again, fell pregnant on the next cycle and am due in just over 2 weeks! I always said i would like a May baby and I didn't actually plan for the month as by then I was just determind to hang on to it, just happened to be due in May! |

Oh forgot to add, for a May baby I conceived in August - Towerlands weekend actually! I do live just around the corner from Towerlands though, wasn't waking anyone up rocking a tent or anything like that! |

Mine were both accidents - just as well really as I always thought the planning bit was a bit scary and put it off! I had a miscarriage between the two - accident as well! What sticks in my mind is the end of the pregnancy - I remember thinking Oh God look at the size of me how on earth will it come out! |

Yeah, yeah Michelle the saying springs to mind if the lorry is rockin' don't coma a knockin'
Considering that we were told the laser treatment I was given could make it harder for me to carry we are just keeping an open mind but would love a baby late april or late May so I can go to Devon County show without having to book time off
I have just been given the all clear from gyne unit but have to have another smear next week just to confirm then practicing we go |

Good luck hun, I would just start straight away as you never know what might happen. When I had my first miscarriage they told me to wait 3 months before trying again and I wish I hadn't, should have just got on with it! |

Michelle - looking forward to seeing your tich as soon as you have it (him/her?). I LOVE tiny babies. I have four - last was a surprise but is a delight, as they always are. Be careful if you think you have difficulty getting pregnant, because once you've had one baby, it's likely you will fall for another extremely easily!! Trust me... |

Very unplanned the first time, and in the heat of the moment thought sod the consequences, and hey presto! (it got me out of work!!)
When I wanted another.... 2 miscarriages and 4 years later, I finally managed to get pregnant again and had my second son.
I would just say, try not to worry too much, and accept what happens - the stress of it all in trying can have the opposite effect ,,,
wishing you lots of fun, and luck xxx |

My two boys were both delightful accidents.
The first time I wanted a baby but hubby wasnt sure so he decided that I was allowed one try and if I fell pregnant then it was meant to be, if not then that was it. I was lucky and didnt need to "try" again but he spent the majority of my pregnancy unsure if he wanted it! which was delightful for me (not). The second time he thought I was having an affair so got me pregnant to stop it - needless to say "we" are not together but I have two wonderful sons who adore their lovely stepdad.
Hope it all goes to plan for you Geena and good luck Michelle. Sandie |

we practiced ...then we got married...then we practiced a bit more ....and our daughter was due to be born on our 1st anniversary...but was late we then decided , when she was 6months old that we would start to think about having another that year....yeah well I discovered I was already pregnant!( and no, on demand breast feeding is not a good contraception!) I know friends who have used an ovulation kit...to predict the best time to have a boy or a girl and it has worked...every time ! good luck and remember ...practice makes perfect ( even if it doesn't it good fun) |

Had plenty of 'safe' practice before marriage, 'unsafe' from the day we got married, and our first son was born almost 8 months after we got married (he was 2 months premature, honestly!!!). 2nd son was born less than 2 years later. I totally agree with Polly that breastfeeding is not a good contraceptive, but I am so thankful both my boys were born very early in the year, leaving me (almost) free to enjoy the foaling and showing season!!!!
