Hi everyone. I may be hopelessly behind, but I dont see any info here on the topic raging n the straightegyptians.com forum about really doing something about show abuse, helping ECAHO get stronger APPLICABLE rules,and another thread about a petition to help. If anyone is interested in jioning the fray-and hopefully making a difference- do look up both threads. One has a german title but underneath is action against abuse in showhorses or some such wording. Do read them. Cheers, Alia

I was about to sign as I am definitely for the cessation of abuse but then I read the part about horses haveing to be at a training yard for a minimum time. This may work in Europe where showing is not so much undertaken by amateur but it would preclude people like myself from having their horses trained and show, I simply could not afford training fees for that long, this is a hobby for me not a business

Keep nagging and reminding everyone of this thread. It needs to be signed by everyone, whether they show or not, so that this ridiculous abuse of show horses can come to an end.

it doesn't matter if you even have a horse...it is just unacceptable the way some horses are treated....if a handler every took a whip to one of mine l would probally do some severe bodily damage, actually no probally about it l would.....
l do not like to watch horses shaking in terror at the person handling it....mine don't and l hope they never have cause too
so maybe l am not rich and famous and can not change the world...but maybe we can help make it better for some of these poor horses whose only crime was to be born beautiful
