I understand your dilemma!!! I want to lose a stone and have just signed up to Weigh****chers again.... But if i wanted to i can lose weight quickly but it does go back on quickly too! Detox diet for 3 days would kickstart weightloss... or slimfast?? And LOTS of exercise! |

good luck.

I have lost 2 stone nearly 8 lbs since january, but if you want a quick boost but it will def go back on as quick as come of, i cut out all and live only on fruit for breakfast, sml pces of fish flacked in,couple table spoons of cous cous for main meal, fruit for tea and supper or whenever peckish!!! drink a couple pints of water before you eat or when you are getting hungry and wait 5 mins as the hunger pain will wear of!!!! for flavouring only a little salt as salt makes you hold water, pepper and a good quality vinigar is essential, as vinigar virtually callarie free, also i should not say it but will water tablets you dont need to take laxatives!!!! as the fruit will be more than enough, i find grapefruit strawberries seem to be the fruits to help me drop quicker than ever, to sweeten grapefruit i have them sliced non stop in the fridge with a little sweetner on, Also i cut out nearly all milk, if i do have milk as we have semi skimmed i do half milk and add half water. Please nobody slate me for my tip as i have been carefull in what i put,!!!but the question was asked!!! being a past bulemic i once lived only on for several years a banana and yoguart a day to keep for several years at size 8/10 being 5.9 that was tough but the beauty industry makes you like it, unfortunatly i learnt the hard way and now suffering severly with allsorts of internal problems, however for a odd week as fitting into your boots!!!! i dont think it can do that much harm!!! Good luck. |

it may be excess water.... have you tried your local herbie type shop... i use to use dandelion supplements for xs water... seemed to help.... Other than that there are loads of unhealthy crash diets!!! did you see natalie cassidy's programme the other day....? She tried a maple syrup diet and lots half a stone in a few days....!! Obviously not healthy of course!!
I once got a cabbage soup diet pill from holland and barret... they were really stinky pills which each contained dried tomatoes, cabbage and other yucky stuff which you could either just take with water or boil up as soup..... you stay on them for seven days... I lost half a stone but put it on again when i started eating properly again!!
but.... this week, I've not been trying to lose weight... but... have stopped eating chocolate, biscuits, crips... only eaten cereals for breakfast and for lunch and then i have started having smaller portions at dinner. I managed to lose 5lbs....
I also used to take kemp... this boost your metabloism which helps you lose excess weight...!
I don't do all this anymore, but I used to take my kemp, vitamins etc and drink loads of water every day to fill me up, take my dandelion and would only eat cereals... thats when I was 7 1/2 stone.... was also going to the gym 6 times a week and swimming 4 times a week.... I was TINY!! Now I'm just over 9 stone and can't understand why i always had such a problem with my weight!
Sorry I've rattled on... probaly all really useless!! sorry |

Thanks for all the tips. So basically no food - just water, exercise and clingfilm. Only joking, as seriously this is a one off for me, and I will replace it with sensible eating after next weekend, don't want to be passing out or anything. Am going to go with lots of fruit and veg water and a small amount of carbs thrown in! My friend also said new boots!! Am sure will manage something - having a nightmare today tho as boss has brought us lots of chocolate biscuits in. I have moved them so I can't see them! Let you know how I get on. x |

Sorry about this but Im a skinny witch who cant get boots to fit round her calf cos even kids boots are to wide but think I can help, its an old modeling trick, ( sorry yes I was one of those to)put some bubble wrap or cling film around the problem area dress as normal but do some hard labour, muck out at speed, do a little jogging, anything that will make you sweat a little. It works especially around the waist. Good luck, let us know if it works. |

Very interesting replies, I think I'd need the cling wrap around all of me and a lot of running as well, perhaps eating the Galaxy instead whilst reading these will help!! |

My Mum (who never dieted BTW) told us as kids that you could lost 7lb in a week just by eating half a grapefruit before each meal. She also said eating pineapple after a meal somehow destroyed the absorbtion of the food you'd eaten. For us that meant DON'T eat pineapple after a meal or we'd get thin... Could you as an alternative wear jodh boots and elasticated half chaps? They can look VERY smart.

Do you think it would be ok to ride with clingfilm round my calves? I also have ridden and schooled in too many layers this weekend to make me sweat some off. Have been drinking lot and lots of water, eaten fruit and cut out bread etc. Very small meals, did end up with red wine Sat night tho - but didn't make me overeat! Jayne if you are reading this - don't worry I've bought a power drink for Saturday morning!

I have a high protein diet (Egg diet) that worked, you lose up to a stone in a week, it came from a body-building gym...From what a recall you have tomatoes on 1 slice dry toast for breakfast, loads of fresh fruit lunch and 2 boiled eggs & salad (only toms, cue and lettuce) for dinner, next day is 2 boiled eggs and toms for breakfast, cooked chicken as much as you can eat and toms for lunch, grilled lamb chops and celery for dinner, can remember day 3-7 but can tell you tomorrow. You are only allowed to eat what it says, no substitutes, no milk, fats or butter, drinks allowed are black tea/coffee, water, tonic water and grapefruit juice. There is no weighting of food either which helps.
All crash diets are bad, I am an expert at dieting, tried them all! Best one that helped me shift 5 stone was slimming world and exercising for 30 mins 3 times a week :) That was nearly 3 years ago and I have still kept it off :)) |
