Can someone explain to me about qualifying cards that are always mention on the entry forms does the horse have to be qualified before the show you are entering or do you purchase the cards if you want to quality or do you enter win your class then get a card to use in the next show. Only the classes tell you to take the cards into the ring with you are these cards from previous shows. I only know about the championship classes in the show that you have entered when you have won your class and not about these cards that are use at other championship shows
Sorry to be so stupid only I don't have alot of experience in showing.
With the Cherif and BACS, you have to have the card prior to the class that you are entered for. You only need the cards if you want to qualify for the event. Hope this explains.
I guess theres no point in purchasing a card unless you are sure that you have a good chance of qualifying and I assume you have to win your class as well
I'm not sure of BACS rules regarding qualification, and how far down the line they go. In the Cherif, the qualification goes down to fourth place, so no, you don't have to win the class.
For the BAC in the ridden classes, the highest placed unqualified horse in the first six can qualify and in the in-hand (geldings only). The seniors (4years old and over) - the highest placed, previously unqualified two geldings in the first six can qualify. The juniors - in mixed age and mixed sex classes the highest placed previously unqualified gelding of each age in the first six can qualify. i.e. 1 yearling, 1 two year old and 1 three year old.
