Just wondered if any of you with in hand experience could give me a bit of guidance on training my youngster?

He's usually pretty good to lead - in a straight line! But i'm finding that he pops his shoulder out when i'm leading him and ends up pushing me off line. I've tried the elbow-in-the-side but that only ends up with my aching and feeling like i've been arm wrestling I'm also having a bit of a job getting him to stand and pose (not frozen i may add, i'm not a fan of that stance) as hes not at all interested in food so is unmotivated by that.

All help is appreciated

Try carrying a whip in your right hand with the lead rein and with 50% of it sticking up towards his face you don't need to do anything with it, it just prevents them shoving you off course. We find it works well with exuberant youngsters.
