He's a 16yrs, 14.3hh Arab. We only hack and school, he's healthy, no previous medical worries, wormed, farrier, innoculated, freezemarked etc etc....
so why so much!!??
Definately got some shopping around to do this month!!
Just wondering how much other people pay...

I've just had mine in and I must say I thought the same. Mine is for Shida and she is just covered for the minimum plus my little Welsh gelding and he is minimum as well and it comes to just under £600. I keep thinking is it actually worth it cause what I have shelled out in insurance over the years definately far exceeds what I have claimed. In fact I've never claimed on either of these two and only had one claim on my New Forest. I was thinking about just setting up a separate account and putting the premiums in there each year but then of course it would be sod's law that something major would happen plus they are both getting older so guess I'll be paying again. I'm with Stoneways and can't recommend them highly enough. They aren't the cheapest but they do cover things like alternative therapies, livery if they have to be hospitalised etc. They coughed up £12,000 in fees for Dennis so I really cannot complain that they put my annual premium up by 15% with NO EXCLUSIONS for veterinary treatment. |

Yeah that sounds about right, Tara will be 16 this year and her insurance for this year is GBP396. I wouldn't be without though, it's definitely worth it if they have an accident and the vets bills start pouring in!
Oh sorry meant to say I'm with NFU and they were very helpful when Tara had her accident with her knee injury last year and paid up quite quickly. |
