From their website today: unfortunately due to the limited number of entries the Deurne International Cup will have to be cancelled this year.
The event would have been held at the NHC Equestrian centre in Deurne, the Netherlands, on the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of May 2008.
Oh dear! I hope that's just a blip and entries will be enough to see other shows going ahead in 2008 ...

Here Here
Already panicking about HoCoN
Please please support the shows or they will be lost and I am sure I speak on behalf of other organisers, if we have a couple years without shows we'll find loads of other things to fill our days and then the shows won't come back

Such a shame about Deurne. I went there a few years ago and really enjoyed it. The classes were well filled then. I wonder why entries have dropped so much? Yvonne, i love Hocon and always enter horses! Would be tragic to lose such a great show! Am trying to encourage as many of my clients as possible to enter!! Thanks Alethea
Think entries are dropping because of cost of diesel etc
Everyone please support all of your shows, if you cannot enter offer some help or sponsorship - we all need as much help as possible |

All the time costs are going up - for the show organisers and the competitors. It is worrying that a usually successful show like Deurne (used to be the Tulip Cup) has not had enough support to go ahead - and I know UK exhibitors who were going, plus it's in easy reach of other European countries... |

Hey Cinders,
I'm trying to enter HOCON, but can't get yr schedule, I was there last year, but yu haven't sent me one via e.mail. I've sent an SAE 23/3/08 and another one this week 10/4/08, but hey no reply! If yu don't send the schedules, then how can we enter???
I'm sure it's just a blip, but yu can can email me: mail@rourkemail.plus.com
Many thanks

Just a reminder to all re SAE's - last year I had to make a number of trips to the sorting office (8 miles round trip) to collect underpaid mail. Please check the SIZE of envelopes and put appropriate stamp on. I had to pay a few pence for underpostage PLUS a "handling" fee each time ... WHOOPS - meant to put this in a new thread so I'll repeat it ...!!! |

We were entered for Deurne so this was very disappointing for us and our clients. With regard to HOCON, it would be brilliant if the schedule was available for download - most other shows are doing this now too and it is one less time-consuming task nad very much old-fashioned to send SAEs. Any chance Yvonne? |

Sadika I coul not agree more, my woes also include a £60 parking ticket as there is no parking outside of the sorting office
All schedules sent out last month by e mail (where we had an e mail address, some came back as undelverable), by post where no e mail was available.
All requests have been sent but suspect some will not arrive due to insufficient postage. |
