Yes - he was bred by Miss Bowditch, and also his full brother Phritz. A lovely lady and breeder of so many good horses. Such a nice, genuine and kind stallion - we used him on our mare Nevnaia, and the filly Neznaia is now doing novice endurance. We have the video of him winning the 1997 Qatar International Desert Marathon, when owned by Umm Qarn, and even after such a gruelling race he is cantering along with his tail in the air as if out for an afternoon ride. Last heard of he was happy in Wales at stud. |

Hello Sue Phritz and Phariz were both owned and trained by Beverley Deutrom (now Patterson) Phritz was a 1987 bay colt and in 1992 had 4 wins out of 4 over 1 mile and 1 mile 2 - racing data after that is not to hand at the moment. I think he may have been exported to UAE. Our filly, although chestnut, is very like her sire Phariz, as were the ones born at Umm Qarn - so it would be nice if they inherited some of the qualities of those lines. Yes you can borrow the video but it may be a while as we are packing up to move. |

Hi Kerry - we are the Ada as posted before you! We gave all our girls to people we knew when we came to Australia - easier than trying to sell them on an open market - they are all happy and with lovely new owners and doing things. Sue - I have got a breeding profile of Phariz with photos and I will try and scan it in and send it to your private mail |

Sue if you have old copies of AHS News no 86 of Summer 1996 has an article on the Owens - page 64 - they successfully raced several horses bred by Miss Bowditch and there are photos of some of them. Also in AHS News Summer 1999 no 92 I did a short piece on Breeders of the Month and Miss Bowditch was the August breeder. There is a lovely photo of her holding a trophy. I will now try and send you the Phariz photos |
