That was Harry Pannel (Jr) I think? I'll try and remember - but it's pushing my memory as it would have been in about 1969 when I visited him (he was a friend of my pen-friend who lived in Sussex). OK - here goes: he had a very old chestnut mare called Halfa; a bay stallion Faro; and a grey stallion Taravao. He bred a filly named Barefoot Princess. How's that???
Thanks for that. I knew some of the basic facts but info tends to go a bit dark after that. I have a mare he bred out of Taravao she is in her 20s now .
I bought lindora about spring 1997 out of a field in Hayling Island for £250 to stop the sparky little mare from being put down as her field freind was for sale
Glad to have some info on Lindora at last. Can do the male side ok think her daughter must have inherited the sparky bit, from my info she was also owned by Harry Pannell wasn't she?
I just wondered if you have any photo's saddly i do not have any of Lindora i just wondered if your girl looks like her Lindora was a square looking mare well built big shoulders and neck on her, she looked like a sec D Cob about 14.1hh bright chestnut with a blaze and socks, she would dive out the stable and run off down the yard if you turned your back for a secound
Well we have photos but not digital I'm afraid. Thea is a bit taller than her mum, but bright chestnut, blaze white socks to hind on both legs bit of white on front.
She certainly isn't a modern arab nothing fairy like about her! good front end carries her head very well.
She also likes to nip off out of her stable regardless of weather but is happy to mooch about.
