Hi I'm hoping someone can help me with my gelding, I really would love to know what % Crabbet he is, I'd like to enter him in some Crabbet classes, I know his sire is 100% Crabbet, but I dont know about his Dam, I know theres some experts on here that would probably know how to work it out, If anyone can help me, I would be so grateful!! His name is HALALS SHADOW and he is on allbreedpedigree. Thanks. Bex

There is Babson (Egyptian) through The Shah and polish through Carmargue and Spanish and egyptian Hadban Enzahi, Mameluck and Ghazal for example. I am not good at % but lot of Crabbet Old English on the dam side. Monique |

Hi Bex, I nearly went to see your lad when he was advertised last year. I thought he was stunning and such a sweetheart from the video I was sent of him. In the end the only thing that put me off, was the fact that they told me he was a bit of an itchy person! Living where I am, I couldn't risk bringing him to an area surrounded by trees, water and the dreaded Scottish Midge!!!!
I hope you are having great fun with him and enjoying him.

Hi
What a nice pedigree. Your boys sire was 100% Crabbet - just looking at the rest!
He traces through the tail female line to Rodania. His strain is Kuhaylaht Al-Ajuz.

Hi Bex On the dam's side, Comets Shadow is around 50% - could be as much as 58%. It is quite a tricky one to calculate because of Polish, Spanish, Eqyptian, all of which have some Crabbet. The 100% Crabbets on the dam's side in the early generations there are: Volante, Brandreth, Magnet, and Crystal King. In the sire's pedigree you have some of the Crabbet Greats - Silver Vanity for one. With the 100% Crabbet sire, your horse could make the 75%+ mark but it would need careful working out. Becky |
