This is what Bluehaven wrote in another post when i asked if her santuary has a website .
What an incredible woman eh ?
Can anyone help ?

Are you kidding-a website?l can't afford a computer! I'm doing this off a mobile phone!I'm feeding, neutering, vacc'ing, etc+vets bills for the derperately abused dogs that l get(mainly from 'our dear friends who live in caravans'.On my own with no financial support from anyone.Situation has gone critical in past few weeks-51 here now+16 more coming in HELP NEEDED.NOT KIDDING!If being put to sleep was the option for these dogs l take in l'd say go to Jesus but it's not. It's a life of abuse, slow starvation +endless indiscriminate breeding if l turn them away.HELP

How on earth do you afford to feed all those dogs , don`t you get any help from PDSA / RSPCA for neutering them ?

There seem to be a lot of dog breeders and puppy farms in Wales, my friend is always rescuing dogs from there, is this a thing that happens a lot?, if so why is the kennel club not keeping a tight rain on it?????

The kennel club can only control the situation if breeders are registered, and the puppies are being registered. They have no authority over indiscriminate breeding, it's likely these people do not get the dogs heamophilia or hip tested, the puppies are unregistered but make the people money in a relatively short space of time, and as an indiscriminate breeder they have to provide very little from their own pocket so in their eyes a good return. It's so sad that so many dogs are bred this way, I hope that the dogs are rescued and these people aren't paid to hand them over as this will only encourage them. Anyone who buys dogs (and other animals from pet shops) these are liekly all farmed in someway, very few are from genuine breeders who have been unable to rehome litters themselves.
A sad sad business indeed.
Bluehaven can you please mail me your contact details,

Thanks, Alicia

Thanks Wyllow.I've worked out the pm function now.It was me not the ph!Could you send me email address? It would help enormously if l could get photos of these guys on line. The phone can send email photos although GETTING photos isn't easy.THEY WONT STAND STILL! I've tried while they're sleeping but they either wake up or another dog comes to see what I'm doing and blocks the shot.Telling ya,I've deleted some blurs and closeups of noses..I'm sure you all know THAT feeling! It sure gives you respect for wildlife photographers!A friend is hopefully coming over tomorrow to look at one of the dogs(his terrier died recently-fingers crossed Mimi suits him)I'll see if he can hold the cam phone while l hold the dogs.

I'd quite like a photo of ME to go on the Famous Lookalikes thread so you can all see that I'm a dead ringer for Bridget Bardot. The resemblance is uncanny-except for the face the hair and the body you'd swear l was her baby sister!

To answer someone's earlier query about the Kennel Club and puppy farms, they DID introduce new rules to curb the practice.Bitches must be at least 18 mnths old and no more than 7yrs and can have only 4 litters for their pups to be registered. They also pass on to the RSPCA the details of anyone registering a large number of litters. However the farmers get around the restriction on the bitches very easily. When they register a litter they invent a couple of bitch pups which are 18 months later named as the mother of pups which are in fact out of an overbred and/or old bitch.Only idiots breed unregistered pups-they don't fetch the prices-and these farmers aren't idiots. They're in it for the money. The RSPCA has put a sizable dent in the farms in Wales which is why many of them have moved over here. When I moved here 9 years ago there wasn't a Welsh accent to be heard. There's a few around now. That's who the 12 gsds are from. The farmers I know(with the exception of the last)take good care of their dogs. The kennels are spotless and the dogs in perfect health with plenty of clean bedding and heatlamps over pups. The problem is a:the dogs don't get the human companionship they deserve and need and b:The pups are sold to anyone with the money. No homecheck,no 'return' contract.I know one who'll take his dogs back-but only if it's a bitch and only if it's not neutered.

Sorry about a delay in getting back to you ~ problem with server here!!!

EMAIL ADDRESSES

wyllow_1@hotmail.com

or

cate_hamilton1@yahoo.com

I should have one listed on my profile here at ALines but sometimes the links don't seem to be co operative!!

Hope I can help.

I can definitely put your contact details, objectives, a list dogs in need and pop some images up on a webpage for you.

At least it's a visible net presence that will be picked up by the likes of google and so on, so anyone intersted in rescuing a GSD will find you.
