Can anyone tell me anything baout this horse? He is perhaps the sire of a friend's part bred mare but unsure if the name was her sire's registered name or pet name?
AH! It won't be him then - unless he took a holiday in the NE of Scotland. My friend's mare is Welsh x arab and that is the name listed under her sire details.
Will have to investigate further I think.

The pedigrees on Allbreed and arab datasource match for the horse called 'Triumph'. But obviously that might not be the same horse that sired your friends horse. Is the pedigree of the sire definately correct?
I think your Triumph is a Part-bred Arab born in Scotland. I need to do some hunting around but he'd be in the National Pony Stud Book. I'm sure he is brother to Tibbie and Touzie - help needed from you people with NPS stud books. My mind is deteriorating but maybe Triumph was about in the sixties.
Just had a look - you need Triumph 13 on Allbreeds. He is by Papillon de Matin ex Taba. All the family were very well known, nice ponies, nice breeding.
I had a British Riding Pony many years ago (I was only 16 at the time) by Triumph. She was very pretty and was also registered PBA, as well as BRP, her name as I recall was Leighook Chantilly Lace. Triumph stood at Leighook Stud just outside of Strathaven (Chapelton I think). I'm sure he is probably deceased by now though as that was 24 years ago!!!
Leave it with me Lindsay and I'll dig out my old files...........I still have a copy of "Tilly's" papers at home.

Hmmm..........I've turned the house upside down and can't find Tilly's papers anywhere! It's really annoying. I do however remember that her dam was called Berniehill Silk........not a huge amount of help at the moment I know, but I will keep looking!
