Ok thought this may be a fun thread and if can put pics up would show versatility too
Other than showing what else do you all do with your Arab/PBA and any pics be it endurance, hacking, sj, dressage or just in field playing

This is a thread that I am going to enjoy reading. Rafa like the look and sound of your boy, quite a character and must be great fun to have around. |

oooh any excuse for photos!! i think my boy is as versatile as they get lol... apologies in advance for the masses of photos!!
Zac (posh name Ishcol Chardyll - Ishcol Charisse x Grecian Idyll) will be 7 in May and is homebred, registered 93% part bred. We do a bit of everything!!
we enjoyed a bit of showing as a 2yr old
then we started ridden work and before long we started jumping
then jumping bigger and competing (2'9)
then cross country
then a bit more showing as a 5yr old
we have done upto 50km with EGB
we came 10th at the BHS National Dressage Championships 2007 (Prelim)
and asides from that, Zac plays uncle to my 2yr old Anglo
and enjoys lumping me with big vet bills

Isnt it great to see them doing a bit of everything - I would love to see some more "caught in the act" shots, would be nice to see the other side of their characters too!
Must try and get one of Freddie when I re-start my N Horsemanship lessons. He does all she asks and then comes and stands beside or behind me and looks at my instructor as if to say "you're not my mum!!" She has commented on it lots of times. bless him!
Mind you he very often looks at me as if to say "get your act together, at least I know what I'm doing!"

We did horseball but Khan now has decided he will not load. So hopefully we can start again towards the end of the season couple of pictures but the videos are better.

thanks - zac really is my one in a million with the xc, I hire out a local course and school round, its great fun!
sarahlock1 - yes thats right. ishcol charisse (folly bergeree x zacaria) is my mum's mare who is on loan currently doing very well on the endurance circuit. i competed her at pony club before zac - she is as versatile as zac we hoped for a palamino filly so of course we got a chestnut colt, wouldnt change him for the world though |

I love to do more with Raz.... but he has led a life of luxury and spends his days eating his head off and running away from me when he thinks I'm going to make him work..... funny how he seems to know when I just want a cuddle!!! I'm sure he thinks that he should be riding me around!!!!!! :D
Great pictures everyone!!!! And some posh little videos too!!!!! |

Arabheaven, Zak is a lovely boy - a true all rounder and he looks great fun! Ditto Ishcol Charisse - lovely horse, attractive and versatile!
I'm particularly into backing, schooling and ridden showing these days, though I love jumping too - not as high as I used to jump when a teenager! I wish I had that fearlessness now..
Edited to say: Most of what I do in winter is lug haynets around and collect poo from the fields. I am an equine servant... |

Here is me with one of my horses, Barakin, a gelding by Melchior, now 20yo. He jumped, showed, did endurance, dressage to medium level, a true allrounder. |
