Pictures for Sue.,
Have had my nose in some old books again. A different picture of Bascar
Caption says " Bascar by Basa - Carmen II. A well-known winner of dressage competitions and a brilliant performer in the hunting field."
Also a picture of Freya
Caption " Freya. A three year-old filly by Basa Faithful Lass. Twice champion at Roehampton and a consistent winner in young hunter classes."
In a chapter in the book Henry Wynmalen explains how he likes to bred angloarabs or partbred arabs and of their uses in the hunting field. No more breeding info there. The Horseman's Year 1950/51.
